What Not To Do In a Podcast
Tuesday, May 13th, 2008I listen to a lot of podcasts. It’s my secondary form of news and information (after my RSS feeds).
If you have a podcast, do me a favor – don’t make it a regular practice to have someone call in so you can interview them over them phone. Although you can hear them, the sound quality on the podcast is terrible – your listeners can’t hear them and it’s really annoying. This is one case where bad execution is worse than no execution at all.
Occasionally you will have a guest lined up who’s so good and so busy that interviewing them over the phone is your only option and is worth it. But that doesn’t happen as often as you might think. If this week’s guest isn’t Shakira or Tiger Woods or your best client, you’re better off waiting until they can come in.
